Microsoft is currently working on new updates for its browser which will add more functionality to the web-taking tool that first appeared in Microsoft Edge last year.
For those who are not used to, catching the web allows you to take screens’ catches from all web pages or only part of the menu of three edges on the top right of the browser or by using keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + S Shift + S. After you take the screenshot, you then Can draw notes, save them or even add them to one of your collections.
Previously, Edge users could not take the screenshot of certain types of content using tools, especially PDFs. However, it seems that Microsoft is now partially testing this function in the latest Canary Edge.
Until now, the web captivity button and the option in the three-point edge menu appeared gray when the tab in the browser displays PDF.
In a recent post on Reddit, Leo Varela revealed that he had found that this was no longer a case in building the latest Canary Edge. However, unlike the normal web taking, dialogue to choose between “catch area” or “full rape page” does not appear. Instead, you only have the option to choose the screen area.
Hopefully this will change after the ability to use web taking with PDF files launches to a stable version of Microsoft Edge immediately.
If you haven’t tested the edge before or even recently, Microsoft continues to add new features such as the vertical tab to the browser in an effort to captivate the user to make a switch from Google Chrome.
